SUBCONSCIOUS NARRATIVES
2021 photograms (gelatin silver prints) During the stages of creating the Soft Drawings felt collages I made preparatory drawings and paper cut-outs to define the silhouettes, objects to be used in each work, before cutting out the felt shapes. |
The textile collages were followed by a series of photograms made on black & white photographic paper in which I used the same elements – paper or tracing paper cut-outs of silhouettes and contours. In several works I focused on elements of design and architecture, that resonate as storytelling places, as set scenes for processes, rituals and structures that would otherwise remain hidden. |
