LARVA, CHRYSALIS, BUTTERFLY
2023
digital photographs

The work is part of the process of exploring the artistic and biographical path of modernist artist Irina Codreanu undertaken for the exhibition Back Stages.
The research I did took several directions and only a part of them were presented in the 2023 exhibition at ARAC.

The two photographs are taken in a space full of sculptures waiting to be rediscovered by curators and the public, one of the storage rooms of the National Art Museum of Romania.
The shape of the cape, with Codreanu's works drawn on this cloth, and the activation of this object in a space full of works of art, have a ritual dimension that reflects on Irina Codreanu's story and artistic journey.
