​A series of drawings which explores subconscious thoughts and images.
Using sketches but also free cut-outs in felt, cotton, linen or mesh sewed by hand, Soft Drawings focus on finding a visual and tactile form of abstract ideas.​

​The series immersed me in images related to childhood and family relationships, connecting with certain spaces, shifting the way I remember and return to the places of these memories. Reading the books Psychogenealogy and Family Wounds by Anne Ancelin Schützenberger and Metagenalogy: Self-Discovery Through Psychomagic and the Family Tree by Alejandro Jodorowsky and Marianne Costa, inspired and encouraged my approach. These soft drawings reconnect me to figurative art, and allow me to experiment with textures, transparencies, layers, and perspectives in a very tactile way.
